This past Friday night the a Homer Trojans hosted the Chttenango Bears at Butts Field for their third game of the year.
Last week Homer beat the Lakers from Skaneatelas for their 300th school win.

Chittenango travel south to Homer fresh off a big win over Phoenix, last week, and looking to steal a win on the road from the Trojans. The Bears started out fast with two quick TD’s to put the home team in a early hole to start the game.

Homer stayed with their game plan and ran the ball and played some tough Defense.

Alec Bush put the Defense back on their heals with 220 yards rushing and two touchdowns to help his team come back to tie the game. Bush has a great season so far this year making some key runs for the Trojans from the back field.

# 44 ( Junior) Gage Root broke free from the line for a 31-yard TD run putting Homer ahead for the first time in the game.

The Trojans tightened up their “D” keeping the Bears from knotting the score at 21 in the fourth. Adam Raymond made a couple nice plays at the corner position knocking down a few passes putting a end to the bears Drive.

Late in the fourth Quarter #18 Jake Casey had a beautiful 74 yard run for a TD making the score 27-14. Joel Christopher came in and put the final touch on the come back victory with the extra point kick giving the Trojans a 28-14 win, and making them 3-0 on the season.

Time Warner Cable was on site showing the game live on TV. Coach Podsiedlik and Alec Bush had the privilege of being interviewed live on TV after the game.

Next up for the Trojans is Home Coming night next Friday. Come out and cheer on the home team against Westhill at 7:00 pm.
